It is striking how many of my creatures are looking left. I must strive to resist!

I am currently working toward a B.S. in Ecology.  Unfortunately, my university does not offer art classes to non-art students.  As such, I just don't have that much time to work on artwork, between my full course load and my current research (on stream geomorphology, if you were wondering).  Most of my drawings are relegated to the edges of my biochemistry notes, or of whichever other class is boring me at the moment.  These rapid doodles and sketches are about the extent of the artwork I do these days.

That's where DeviantART comes in.  I'm hoping that, by starting my own account here, I will be able to motivate myself to devote more of my limited free time toward improving my artistic skills and creating presentable pieces, rather than just doodles on lined paper.

Be patient, though.  This is going to take me a while.  Time, especially free time, is in short supply.
